Racing

The club promotes 4 races throughout the season. These are as follows:

1. Mayday Gallop Monday 6th May 2013 at 11.00 - Click here for a video of the race.
2. Evening APR - TBC
3. Billy Warnock memorial - Sun 11th August
4. Team Race - TBC

Marshalls from the club will be required for all FBC promoted events and volunteers should contact the race organisers or the Club Secretary(Bruce).

An appropriate Racing licence is required to enter and SCU/BCF road race.(Time trials do not require a racing licence). Wearing of a BCF approved cycle helmet is mandatory.

Falkirk BC have an active group of competitive cyclists covering most of the racing categories.

The club's APR format is used as the basis of the Thursday night training is a very good introduction to someone considering racing for the first time and its not such a big jump from this to competitive APR.

Additional Information

Insurance:

As per SCU guidelines all regular Falkirk BC members and non members (other than new comers) should ensure that they have appropriate insurance to participate in any organised training sessions or club runs. All cyclists should ensure they have at least the minimum Silver SCU/BCF membership to be adequately covered for any event.

Club membership is open to all ages both male and female. For more information on club membership please contact the club chairman or club secretary. The annual membership fee is only £10.
