Welcome to the Falkirk Bicycle Club Website. 

A well established Road Bike Club based in Central Scotland affiliated to the SCU.

The club meets several times a week for training and club runs and promotes several race meetings and social events throughout the year.

Like minded cyclists and new members are always welcome.

 

Current Issues/Information

  • Anyone wishing to get into road cycling and/or learn to ride in a group, now have the opportunity to learn off of the experienced Alec McCulley on Tuesday nights, please contact him before you turn up on 07968819252.
  • We now have a video gallery set up so please send me any video clips etc of our riders or cycling in general. Why not have a look.
  • The club Forum has been set up for a few weeks now so please feel free to join the forum and use it at your disposal.
  • A fantastic turn out for the Falkirk in terms of marshal's and riders.  A big thank you to all who helped this race run as smooth as it did even though we had to change the course with only a couple of hours notice. Big Stevie took 2nd place and retains the Mid trophy. An excellent ride by McGarrity sees him take victory this year, view results, view video of sprint.
  • Thursday 10th July will see the Club Confined 10m TT take place instead of the usual APR session. This will start at 7pm then will resume as a normal APR the week after. Please make all club members aware and like wise all non club members. Regular guest riders may join in the TT.
  • Great chance for anyone wanting to try their hand on the track. WOSCA Track Championship 2008 is being held on the 29th of June. Riders need not have ridden the track as this event is aimed at developing riders, to see more info click here.
  • Good to see 3 Falkirk riders get round the Davie Bell RR well done Stevie, Neil and James with Neil taking the Hill Prime at the top of the Nic' well done. See results here or read report.
  • Anyone needing club clothing should contact Alex McCulley before the 3rd July to place an order. His mobile number is on the contacts page.
  • The next round of the Super Six event which takes place on the 6th July will be closing its application on the 30th June. Any 4th cats in the club that could help James McPake to victory please enter via entry central he is currently sitting very close to the leader, C'mon guys your club needs you !!!!!
  • Wed 30th July - Falkirk Trophy Road Race is being held, please can we have another good turn out of marshal's and riders as we have had over the past few races this year..
