Racing
The club promotes
several races throughout the season. Details of Falkirk BC race
promotions are listed in the SCU Handbook. For 2007 the following race
events were proposed at the AGM: (Note all details of club races and

Marshalls from the
club will be required for all FBC promoted events and volunteers should
contact the race organisers or the club Secretary.
An appropriate Racing
Licence is required in order to enter any SCU/BCF road race. (Time
Trials do not require a racing licence). Wearing of a BCF approved
cycle helmet is mandatory.
Along with other Mid Scotland cycling clubs FBC also hosts several
reliability Trials each season as a precursor to the racing season.

Falkirk BC have an
active group of competitive cyclists covering most of the Racing
Categories.
The club's APR format used as the basis of the Thursday night training
is a very good introduction to someone considering racing for the first
time and its not such a big jump from this to a competitive APR
(Australian Pursuit Race).
Anyone interested in racing competitively or seeking coaching should
contact the Club Chairman or Club Coach.
